Lavender oil

For generations, lavender has been a leading ingredient in various perfumes, cosmetics and other herbal treatments. With Mediterranean origins, lavender is now commonly accessible around the world, with a breathtaking and unmistakable scent that radiates calm energy.

Benefits of lavender oil

According to aromatherapy, breathing in the scent of lavender oil, or applying this essential oil transmits messages to the region of the brain associated with the nervous system and regulation for emotion.

Lavender is often associated with two benefits, namely calming the mind, and promoting better sleep. However, being considered the most versatile as an essential oil, lavender has numerous other exploits associated with healthy living. As it promotes relaxation, lavender oil has the capacity to treat insomnia and even menstrual cramps. Furthermore, there are studies which have shown its potential to treat anxiety and depression.

This essential oil also has the ability to take care of eczema and other skin-related conditions as it is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and possesses detoxifying qualities.

How to apply

There is no specific formula, nor dosage allowance for lavender oils. Popular approaches include sprinkling a few drops of the oil onto a cloth, or add a few drops into an aromatherapy diffuser or vaporizer. You can also mix this oil with other oils (such as almond or jojoba) and massage onto skin or add to your bath.

*Please note that essential oils are not regulated by the FDA and do not need to meet a specific standard. When buying your oil, ensure that it is 100% natural (like ours). Also make sure that the label includes its Latin name Lavandula angustifolia. No other oils/ingredients should be present.
